Fort Irwin provides Desert Oasis Pool. There is no charge for admission into the pool. The Oasis Pool is an indoor/outdoor pool that provides recreational and lap swimming. It includes a standard 25 meter pool, locker rooms, low diving board, and a slide.
Pool Hours: Monday through Friday: 5:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. for lap swim; 11:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m. Please note there is priority lap swim 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. and 7:00 - 8:00 p.m. Weekends and Holidays the pool is open 11:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m. for open swimming.
*Priority lap swim means that additional lanes may be opened to accommodate swimmers who desire to work out and swim laps.
Swim lessons are offered year round with ongoing registration in the pool office Mon-Fri 8am - 5pm.
Lifeguard and Water Safety Instructor training are offered quarterly.
Lap swimming is always available and water aerobics are offered nightly. This facility is also home of the Fort Irwin Youth Swim Team, the Sand Sharks.
Note: Children younger than 13 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at the pool facility.
